Banana Plantation in Guatemala! Amazingly, one banana tree grows to maturity in 10 months and then they chop it down and start again.


We took a river trip down the Rio Dulce. And it was absolutely spectacular!!! This is a picture of a family's home along the way. Amazing how the natives live. Children out in their conoes with no adult .... kind of like our children going out in the front yard to play ball.



The trip on the Rio Dulce took about 1 1/2 hours and we got back to the boat just before sailing time.
