Spring Break 2008

Spring Break was a BLAST! We headed to Monroe, Utah for one of our favorite Hot Spring. The next day we were going to go to Bryce Canyon....but as luck would have it, Dewayne remembered to bring his fishing pole and heard from a local about a great fishing lake. While driving to this lake/reservoir we came upon a very quaint resort called Big Rock Candy Mountain Resort. We were drawn to the place and noticed the "ATV Rentals" sign. Needless to say, we never made it to Bryce this time. As promised, the fishing was great! Dewayne and the kids had a wonderful time fishing and I had just as great a time reading! Actually, I pulled one in too. (But let Benson finish bringing it in!) Dewayne worked hard to make it great for the kids and let them be the heros when a fish was caught. Bailey and Jordan hiked a mountain near by. One unsettleing thing that happened was that Jordan saw a Rattle Snake! But it didn't try to harm him and just slithered into the rocks.

We stayed the rest of the vacation in this cabin. It was surrounded by ATV trails. We found out that in Marysville, Utah its the largest ATV trail area in the United States. We rented 2 ATV's and rode them for 2 days. Great time was had by all. Jordan even went on a one on one with Dewayne and drove the ATV by himself, and he did really well.

This is Mystic Hot Springs in Monroe and the rock behind the kids is a formation from the water over the years. This place is extremely "Natural". Also, this is the 2nd year that we've bought our honey from a local there in Monroe who sells his own honey. Really good stuff.
