Lots of Sheep...little lambs
We went to see the sheep being sheered. They sheer the sheep 2 times a year. I've seen it done before, but amazing to hear and see. Then they brought in the little lambs and we got to feed them their formula. So sweet. New Zealand has sheepskins for sale everywhere, lotions made with lanolin oil, warm slippers....Ugg boots etc...(which actually are manufactured in Australia), ....Livestoke being a huge part of their economy and Kiwi Fruits being another. (We found out that Kiwis are actually large "chinese goosberries" but America has tariff's on berries so they changed it to a fruit so they could export to America). Below is a picture of Dewayne's hand feeding the lamb and the sheep wool on the little stage behind.
Here is the guy who sheered the sheep. The sheep were really calm and didn't mind being handled.
